The Truth On That "Hands Free Ban"

With a recent survey showing 84% of people do NOT support a proposed ban on the use of "hands free" mobile phones in cars, why is the government pushing ahead with this idea.

One purpose and one only - REVENUE! The NSW Government is forecasting a 140% increase in revenue by 2012 from the 2002 figure!

It turns out that road deaths have actually been declining over the past few years so to say this proposed ban is to reduce road deaths is just another government lie!

In NSW road fatalities have gone from 561 in 2002 to 409 in 2009 - a 27% reduction - while registered vehicles have increased by 21% (according to the RTA's own figures).

Vote NO for this proposal and write to your local MP with a strong protest.

Are They Really #1?

TV Channel Nine here in Australia is going all out to regain number 1 spot in all states. And some of the things they are presenting are OK.


Yet their continuing technical bungles, spelling errors and misrepresentations are severely undermining their credibility.


Consider their news reader this morning on Weekend Today - Saturday 12th. February - who described the  demonstrations in Egypt as "violent" - and they weren't - as well as telling us President Mubarak has left the country - when he hadn't.


Additionally I have counted at least 7 times in the last month where we have been left either watching a black screen or a frozen picture.


And they want to be #1.
